Washington State Wine Appellations
Bottles of wine produced in the Walla Walla valley generally will have either Walla Walla Valley on the label or “CV” for Columbia Valley depending upon the quantity of the source of grapes going into the wine. (Columbia Valley is a less descriptive “macro” designation which includes all appellations and/or groups of appellations anywhere in the general Eastern Washington wine country area but not including Puget Sound from the West side, the only other Washington wine appellation.)
Eastern Washington wine appellations included in the Columbia Valley (CV) designation are:
Walla Walla Valley

Horse Heavens Hills
Rattlesnake Hills
Wahluke Slope
Columbia Gorge
Snipes Mountain
Yakima Valley
Lake Chelan
