Little Theatre of Walla Walla

Enjoy a show at the little theater that could! The Little Theatre if Walla Walla is an all-volunteer community playhouse that has been open since 1944. The productions at the theater range in genre. You’ll typically find everything from classic plays and musicals to more contemporary shows. Adult tickets to these shows are $20, while tickets for students with a valid ID and children are just $15.

Harper Joy Theatre

For a look at the most talented up-and-coming performers at Whitman College, head to the Harper Joy Theatre. Located on campus, the Harper Joy Theatre includes two venues. The first, the Alexander Stage, seats 310, while the Freimann Studio Theatre seats 100. Visitors can enjoy a wide spectrum of shows at the hall, from dance showcases to dramas.

Gesa Power House Theatre

ArtWalla

You can’t discuss art galleries in Walla Walla without mentioning ArtWalla! This organization is dedicated to supporting all types of art in town, including education, theater, public artworks, concerts, dance performances, and so much more! They also host monthly and annual events, like the First Friday Art Tour (which is also called the Walla Walla Artwalk). Another great festival is ArtSquared, which displays nearly 1,000 works by local and national artists for just $36! There’s no better opportunity to find some new decor for your home.

Walla Walla Foundry

Walla Walla Foundry serves both as an art gallery and as a support system for artists. Sculptures, painters, and other types of artists from all over the world gather to complete their works within the Foundry.
The Walla Walla Foundry is a 31-minute drive from Cameo Heights Mansion.

Studio Two Zero Two

Studio Two Zero Two (located at 202 East Main Street) is a combination gallery and wine bar. It includes pieces from Penny Michel, Augusta Spark, and Squire Broel. Broel’s works can also be seen in his own studio, which is a four-minute walk down Main Street.
Studio Two Zero Two is open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays and until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is a 30-minute drive from Cameo Heights Mansion.

Museum of Unnatural History

This quirky attraction is a must for anyone interested in learning about some of the strangest and most unique genres of art. It was founded by Gerry Matthews, a comedian who wanted to showcase irony to the public via his visual works. Here, you’ll find examples of absurdism, dadaism, and surrealism. You may not fully understand the pieces displayed at the Museum of Unnatural History, but you’ll have an afternoon of fun.
The Museum of Unnatural History is open every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or by appointment. Admission is free. The museum is just a 30-minute drive from Cameo Heights Mansion.

Broel Studio Inc.

The Squire Broel Studio features the works by the titular artist. As stated on his website, he uses bronze, aluminum, resin, and wood, creating organic shapes with a modern twist. Stop by his studio to see his latest pieces. It’s located on East Main Street in Walla Walla.
The Broel Studio is a 30-minute drive from Cameo Heights Mansion.

Sheehan Gallery

Originally established in 1973, the Sheehan Gallery is part of Whitman College. Though it once had the goal of collecting, preserving, and displaying contemporary and historical art of any genre, their focus has narrowed to emphasize Asian art. The studio has six exhibitions mounted seasonally. Through these exhibits, visitors learn about art history and culture. There are two permanent exhibits, though they are technically housed in the Asian Studies Center. The Thomas P. Davis Collection of Asian Art and the authentic Tea Room are both must-sees for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge on this genre. Best of all, admission to the exhibits is always free.
The Sheehan Gallery is open on weekdays from noon to 5:00 p.m., and on weekends from noon to 4:00 p.m.
