Bluewood Ski Area is the Best Place to Ski Near Walla Walla!

As you may imagine, finding snow to play in with the Blue Mountains not too far away is a pretty easy task for those visiting Walla Walla and the Tri-Cities, especially if you’re into cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding.  If you’re looking for a little downhill skiing and snowboarding, then Bluewood Ski Area is for you! In total, there are 24 runs at Bluewood Ski Area, with the longest of them being an incredible 2.25 miles! They operate 2 triple chairs and 2 conveyor lifts, with a total capacity of just over 6,000 people/hour. The bulk of the ski runs are suitable for intermediate skiers, with plenty of runs also available for beginners and experts alike.

With so many things during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic being affected, skiing at Bluewood Ski Area in Walla Walla is one thing that doesn’t have to be!  You can read all about the COVID safety protocols in place at the mountain, which include limiting lines by purchasing tickets online in advance, masks in common areas, limited groupings on chairlifts, and no indoor dining.
