Walla Walla Symphony History
The origins of the Walla Walla Symphony can be traced all the way back to the year 1907 when a small Symphony Club was developed. Together, these members studied music and held performances while steadily gaining popularity and fans. Although they encountered numerous hardships throughout the years, such as the unexpected death of their director, Edgar Fischer, in 1922 and financial difficulties during the Great Depression, they were still able to grow and flourish into the incredible and talented organization that they are today.
Educational Programs
The Symphony is dedicated to fostering an appreciation of music in all youths. From supporting the Walla Walla Symphony Youth Orchestra, which is open to students in grades eight to 12, to the Lending Library, which collects used musical instruments and donates them to local students, there are so many ways to help the Symphony with its mission.
