Visit The REACH Museum in Richland, WA

The REACH first opened in 2014 with the goal of educating guests of all ages. The REACH Museum hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. General admission to the museum is just $8 for adults and $6 for seniors, military personnel, and students.
There are four permanent galleries in the museum and one rotating. The first gallery features the exhibits titled “The Land Takes Form,” “The Living Land,” “Saving the Reach,” and “The Land Transformed.” At this gallery, you’ll learn about the natural feature of this region, a well as how it was first formed.
In the second gallery, which features exhibits titled “The Manhattan Project” and “Tri-Cities, Hanford, and the Cold War,” explains this region’s impact during World War II and the fall of the Berlin War.
The third gallery, which is located in the Entry Hall, explains the features of the Columbia River and efforts made to produce clean energy in the Northwest.
The final gallery, which is located outside, demonstrates the extreme weather conditions of the Tri-Cities as well as displays a refurbished 1954 GMC bus that once transported Hanford worker during the Cold War. You’ll also be able to see the REACH Garden, which features crops that are grown by local farmers. Take a walk in the Energy Northwest Animal Trail, which displays steel cut-outs of 22 animals that are native to this region.
