The Best Walla Walla Hotel For Your Summer Getaway

Are you a little nervous to travel this summer?  We don’t blame you!  Rest assured, though, that our Walla Walla Hotel is working really hard to provide you with the same exceptional experience our guests have always enjoyed, all the while ensuring you a safe and healthy visit to Washington’s wine country.  Walla Walla was recently approved to enter into phase 2 of Washington’s reopening plan in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which means that restaurants, retail stores, and other businesses are now going to be reopening their doors.

We’re so thrilled for the Walla Walla area with this reopening, as it means we can focus on bringing tourists back to this incredible area.  The biggest draw to Walla Walla, of course, is the wine.  And while we certainly recommend you spend a lot of time sampling Walla Walla wines, we think there’s another draw to the area that you might be overlooking; a stay at our luxurious Walla Walla hotel.  We’re a 5-star property with exceptional amenities and hospitality, and home to The Vine restaurant, one of the best Walla Walla restaurants.  Come experience a getaway at our Walla Walla hotel; book a room at the Cameo Heights Mansion today!

Our Walla Walla Hotel is the Ideal Summer Getaway

So, why should you choose to stay at our Walla Walla hotel?  We are, after all, located around 30 minutes outside of downtown Walla Walla. You’ll have to visit here to really see the magic that is this place, but we think there are a few main reasons we should be at the top of your list for summer getaways. In fact, the very location of our property, located outside of the city and away from all of the crowds, is probably the #1 reason you should come stay with us this summer.

The Cameo Heights Mansion has just 7 suites, which means when you’re here, you’ll never be surrounded by large crowds like you would be at other properties.  Moreover, our tranquil location in the country ensures that you won’t need to navigate crowded streets and businesses just to get in our doors.  You can have as much, or as little, exposure to other people while you’re here.  And, rest assured, we are practicing all of the proper social distancing guidelines as recommended by the governing state authorities.  It’s just one of the many things we’re doing to give you peace of mind about traveling again.

We also offer an incredible range of amenities at our property, including one of the area’s top restaurants, The Vine. While you’re here, feel free to relax in our beautiful pool or hot tub, spend an evening around our fire pit (roasting s’mores!), hit some balls at our driving range, play one of the many games available here, including tetherball, horseshoe, bocce ball, and ping pong, take a hike in the surrounding area, or otherwise relax in our common spaces.  Our Walla Walla Hotel is truly more like a resort; we have everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway this summer!

Things to do in Walla Walla That Support Social Distancing

Though there really isn’t much need to leave our property, there’s still plenty of things to do in Walla Walla. While Walla Walla is gearing up to open again, we know not everyone is feeling comfortable about jumping back into life as it used to be.  Some social distancing is still required, and likely will be for some time.  Luckily, there’s still quite a bit to do in Walla Walla that allows for some natural social distancing.  Here are a few of our favorite recommendations:

  • Hike through one of the many gorgeous trails in the Blue Mountains.
  • Go bird watching on the Walla Walla River Delta, the McNary National Wildlife Refuge, or one of the many other wonderful areas nearby. There are more than 300 bird species that call this area home.
  • Go golfing at one of the 4 lovely golf courses near us.
  • Go biking along the Sacagawea Heritage Trail, or one of the many scenic rides on our country roads.  You can even take a wine tour by bike if you’re so inclined!
  • Get out and go boating on the Columbia, Snake, Yakima, and Walla Walla Rivers.
  • Enjoy some wine tasting at the many Walla Walla wineries. Summer is an ideal time to be outdoors at the wineries and vineyards, which will allow for safe social distancing as well.

Whatever it is you choose to do (or not do, as the case might be), know that our Walla Walla hotel is the ideal home away from home for Washingtonians this summer.  Book your summer getaway to our beautiful property today.
